So today was my birthday and after a pretty exciting Friday night with Benji, Kyle, Yeatsie, Yank, Mark, Ben, Jess, Dani and Mel at the Comedy Club, I was pretty excited at what tonight would bring, but first I had to tackle my Network and Protocols ex....

Ah fuck it, I'm tired and dissapointed:

  • Got guitar (Thanks guys/girls happy), chocolate, clothes, Led Zeppelin framed poster and vouchers for birthday
  • Fucked up exam
  • Bought 5 CD's for $50 at JB
  • Watched Curb Your Enthusiam until I went to Yeatsie's to hit the town
  • Ran for 5 minutes to get to the bus stop, then watched the bus pull away to leave us stranded in Algester at 10.30 with no way to the city
  • Consider chipping in $70 to get a taxi to the city
  • Fucked off that idea and went home, midnight rocked around and then so did bed shortly after this post

I had a fairly packed weekend, although sadly only about 4 hours of it was fun and exciting. It started on Friday night with work (5.5hrs), continued Saturday with more work (9hrs and a healthy paycheck!) and then surprise surprise, more work Sunday(9hrs) and SUPRISE Monday as well (4hrs).

Apart from working, I managed to escape to Kerin's house warming party on Saturday night, which turned out to be better in hindsight then I first (drunkingly) thought (and tagged). I was armed with a McK and was dropped off around 10 to meet with Kyle, Benji, Mudos and Yeatsie. The party was small, like 20 people, no food (except for the pizza cooked up by Shaun) and wasn't very raging. However, in true group spirit, Benji was the most smashed out of the whole party. I am positive now that at every party we go to we always have the most smashed being one of us. Quite a record, that's stretched back to Tiana's party through to Cooke's New Years and I guess now the house warming party.

I soon joined Benji in his drunken state and was chatting to Tamara (Tomcat) with Yeatsie for most of the night. She's a pretty cool chick from what I remember, even helped me look for a bandaid for my monged finger of death. The party sorta just dragged on, drinks were drunk, Benji got drunker and then Kyle and Cam had a blow up and they sorta just left. Benji disappeared and returned with a bike which he rode into the courtyard then tried to escape from the house with the bike over his head to realise the doorway wasn't as wide as expected so he pretty much owned himself good. He then got back on his bike, helmet backwards, seat twisted and managed to ride off down Algester Road tongue

I remember little things, like talking alot of shit about Big Brother and then surprise surprise, Kristie Lee from Runcorn in Grade 8 rocks up out of the blue. Fucking shocked me for a bit. Next thing I remember was busting into a room full of peopel doing weed who were mellowed out and me just jumping in and strumming guitar. That pissed them off I think, I packed it away and then Yeatsie and I hung around out the front before he got us a cab home.

There we have it, an updated weekend amongst some pretty poor English.

Raining Titans

Last night I went to the Titans vs. Cowboys footy match down at Carrara Stadium. It was a pretty last minute decision but I'm glad it was made as it was a pretty good match and as usual there's always stories to come from it. In the end it was myself, Kyle, Adam and Yeatsie who came on down to see the game. Yeatsie doesn't even like footy but is trying to get into it because his new workplace has a few footy fanatics in it.

The drive down was uneventful, passing through spots of rain hoping that it wouldn't rain when the game was on, but eventually we got to the stadium and parked. After getting out of the car, Kyle did a big stretch, you know, long drive and all, and who did he block from opening his door? Andrew Symonds! Haha. Poor bloke trying to get out of his car and you've got Kyle standing there having a stretch tongue

Our tickets were just general admission so pretty much you watched the game from wherever you wanted as long as you weren't sitting in the grandstands. The match was good, Titans lost, but it's all good because they are both Queensland teams anyway happy About halfway through the match it started to piss down raining. We weren't abandoning our posts, so we just soaked it all in... for a good half hour of downpour! I did have some cover underneath some 10yo's umbrella, but Adam scared her away so I was left to drip like everyone else.

A few random highlights include Kyle's videotaping of the oh-so-hot cheerleaders, Adam throwing an empty cup of beer at Kyle (who ducked letting the cup own some lady) and the 'anti-cheering' by Kyle to these 4 kids. They'd scream 'COWBOYS' and Kyle would just say 'SUCK!', or they'd abuse the ref saying 'BULLSHIT' and Kyle would scream over them 'THAT IS THE BEST DECISION IN THE WORLD'. The near biff between the captains was also great, pity it didn't follow through, we were right in front of it happy

The game finished and we ran back to Kinky (my car smile) and sat there for a good hour trying to leave the carpark. At last the traffic cleared and we cruised home via Maccas (with the very fit manager wink) to cap off a great, semi random night smile
